CD Project Red has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-generation enhancements will be released before the end of this year.

The aforementioned update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be made available for free on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game, respectively.

The long-awaited PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which were developed by CD Projekt Red, are scheduled to be released in the last three months of this year, according to the developer. This announcement of the release has been validated by the developer themselves on Twitter. This update will be made available for free on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game when it is pushed out. The enhanced edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The video game was initially going to be released in 2021, after it had been revealed back in September of 2020. The launch has been postponed “until further notice” and will now take place in April of this year. Following this, the developer issued a statement in which they said that the game was no longer stuck in the “development hell” phase of production. During that time period, the development of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition had been transferred from Saber Interactive to the in-house team of the company (also handled the Nintendo Switch port of the base game). Despite this, the developer seems to be very sure at this point that they will be able to deliver the improved version before the end of the year.
